— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 10:09 p.m. Saturday in reference to a possibly intoxicated man walking around with an open container. The caller said the man approached a couple and made a comment about cutting them. The complainant did not wish to press charges.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Saturday where a caller reported someone threw a can of pop at her vehicle and she wanted the person to stay away from her. The other person was given a warning for disorderly conduct and told to stay away from the complainant.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Columbia Street at 8:55 p.m. Saturday in reference to a man who had ingested an unknown amount of pills as well as had a razor blade to his neck and had fled to an upstairs bedroom. Officers were able to make contact with the man who came out of the bedroom without any weapons. He had superficial cuts to the right side of his neck and he admitted to having the razor blade to his neck. He was transported to the Salem hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:02 p.m. Saturday where a caller reported finding a needle. The needle was collected and disposed of properly.

— Officers responded with the fire department to the 900 block of Arch Street at 5:54 p.m. Saturday in reference to lines down and found that a tree had fallen onto the power lines and a house. Ohio Edison was contacted.

— Officers responded with medical personnel to the 300 block of West Seventh Street at 3:51 p.m. Saturday in reference to a medical situation and stood by until no longer needed by EMS. The patient was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of East State Street at 2:24 p.m. Saturday to check on a man who appeared to be having a medical problem. Officers found the man at a nearby residence and she declined medical treatment due to just being released from the hospital. He was given a ride to the police station to wait for a family member.

— Patrick C. Smith, 55, Madison, Ohio, was cited following a two-vehicle crash in the 500 block of East State Street at 1:48 p.m. Saturday in which he was westbound when the trailer he was pulling struck a parked vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:39 p.m. Saturday in reference to multiple disorderly people.

— Officer responded to the 800 block of East Third Street at 11:04 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported her juvenile son left home the previous night and did not return home without telling her. She said it is an ongoing issue with the juvenile. The son returned home shortly after the resident called police. The resident was told to contact the Columbiana County Juvenile Courts.

An adult man reported a medical situation on station at 9:31 a.m. Saturday. Medical personnel arrived to assess the man, who was ultimately transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Fair Avenue at 6:48 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute. Both people involve gave conflicting stories. The information was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review of possible charges.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Oak Street at 4:20 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported someone had rang her door bell during the night. Officers checked the area but could not find anyone outside.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 3:46 a.m. Saturday for an unknown medical issue. The patient was found to be having mental issues and was willingly transported to the Salem hospital by ambulance.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Fair Avenue at 12:55 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found that a verbal argument had occurred between a resident and his girlfriend. The resident said his girlfriend had stolen his prescription medication. The girlfriend denied taking the medication and said she wanted the complainant removed from the home. She was advised he would need to be evicted. The complainant agreed to leave for the night and was taken to the police station to wait for a ride.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Columbia Street at 9:50 p.m. Friday in reference to people sitting on a porch possibly smoking meth. Offices checked the area but were unable to find the people in question.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:10 p.m. Friday in reference to a person who was possibly on narcotics. Officers found that he was only drunk and he denied any medical treatment.

— Officers responded to Waterworth Memorial Park near the duck pond at 7:39 p.m. Friday in reference to a woman yelling profanities. Offices spoke with the woman who said she was upset about a medical issue and apologized.

— A 16-year-old from Columbiana was cited for marked lanes following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East State Street and Cunningham Road at 5:25 p.m. Friday in which he was westbound in the lefthand turn lane, then attempted to change into the straight lane, striking another westbound vehicle driven by Kimberlee Little, 45, Salineville.

— A Madison Avenue resident reported at 4:43 p.m. Friday her juvenile daughter is being harassed online the past couple months by several other juveniles on social media and wanted the issue documented in case of future problems. The officer spoke with the other juveniles and advised them to stop.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Park Avenue at 4:14 p.m. Friday to check on a resident following an anonymous complaint that she was sending pictures of what appeared to be a physical altercation. Contact could not be made at the home, but via phone the resident said she was fine and refused any assistance. Officers also had a separate call to the same home several hours later and spoke with the resident, who was doing dishes and appeared to be fine.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Park Avenue at 3:58 p.m. Friday in reference to a child custody dispute. Both people involved were told it was a civil issue and one of them left with the children. Officers returned at 4:11 p.m. in reference to a verbal dispute between exes regarding child custody. They were already separated by the time officers arrived and the mother had the children.

— A Lisbon resident reported at 3:48 p.m. Friday being denied court ordered visitation with her children when she went to pick them up from where they are temporarily staying in Salem. She was advised to contact the court.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Fair Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Friday in reference to a dispute. Both people involved gave conflicting stories and one of them left the home to let things calm down.

— Officers responded to the area of Sharp Avenue and West Wilson Street at 2:04 p.m. Friday in reference to a juvenile allegedly thrown from a vehicle and prevented from getting back in. Officers found it to be a juvenile and his guardian from a previous complaint. They said the juvenile got out of the vehicle then when he attempted to get back in, was told the guardian was parking it. They were advised of the complaint and how it looked.

— A woman reported on station at 11:17 a.m. Friday a scam that led to some telecommunication harassment.

— Michael Rene Rivera Salvat, 26, Youngstown, was cited for right of way at stop signs following a two-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Washington Avenue at 12:17 p.m. Thursday in which he was westbound on Oak Street and failed to yield from the stop sign, striking a southbound vehicle driven by Amy Sue Stephens, 50, Lisbon. No injuries were reported.

— Kevin W. Short, 49, Depot Road, Salem, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an officer responded to the 300 block of Main Street at 10 p.m. Thursday in reference to an intoxicated man walking down the center of the roadway. The officer spoke with the Short, who was found to be highly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet and incoherent in conversation. Short also reportedly became uncooperative, resisting the officer’s commands and using inappropriate language toward the officer.

— An officer responded to a report of a tree that had fallen on an eastbound vehicle on East High Street at 12:42 p.m. Thursday. The officer searched from Main Street to village limits finding nothing. The vehicle was then found approximately half a mile west of Beeson Mill Road, with the driver stating a tree had fallen from the roadside and struck the roof of the vehicle, causing damage. No injuries were reported and the officer stood by until the highway patrol arrived.

–An alarm was received in the 5300 block of state Route 164. Damage was discovered to a detached garage door, but no entry was gained.

— A state Route 558 man reported at 6:11 a.m. Thursday juveniles play basketball in the alley and do not clean up their trash, leaving behind water bottles and towels. The parents were advised of the complaint and asked that they clean up their mess.

— A 1000 block Lisbon Canfield Road resident reported at 11:56 p.m. June 15 that his neighbor had been blasting his music since around 9 or 9:30 p.m. that night.
